After a few hectic days, we are pleased to say that all the evacuations of the following communities went smoothly and safely for our residents and employees.
- Summerville at Kenner: Kenner, LA
- Dowlen Oaks, Beaumont, Texas
- KP Lake Charles: Lake Charles, LA
- Loyalton of Biloxi : Biloxi MS
Now that Hurricane Gustav has made landfall, we are beginning the process of returning our residents back to their home communities. In order to ensure the continued safety of our residents and employees, we are monitoring and preparing for the following items BEFORE we begin our return:
- All Storms / Tornadoes to pass through Louisiana, Texas, and Mississippi (this may be Thursday given the slow moving system and current tornado warnings throughout the states of Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi). Even though the coast may now be safe, we also must wait for the storm to pass through the area we evacuated to before we can safely return home.
- City and State Approvals
- Securing and repairing the community from any damage that may have occurred.
- Contacting employees that evacuated with family to ensure we have proper staff coverage when residents return.
