Local Senior Living Community Teams Up with Merit Entertainment to Introduce Brain Fitness Program
Irving, Texas August 27th, 2008 – Summerville at Irving, an Emeritus Senior Living community announces the launch of Merit Entertainment’s MegaTouch MindSpark’s revolutionary gaming system for residents on Friday, August 29th. Community residents will benefit from this therapeutic program that increases their quality of life, well being and mental health.
Summerville at Irving is one of five Emeritus communities that are launching MindSpark to increase residents’ brain fitness by aiding in the retrieval and capacity of long/short term memory, developing new vocabulary, increasing critical thinking, dexterity and quantitative reasoning. Utilizing MindSpark’s many brain fitness programs such as crosswords, checkers, chess, Sudoku and many more can reduce residents’ risk of Dementia and Alzheimer’s.
Summerville at Irving residents can utilize the touch screen technology and large, easy to read fonts as they enjoy more than 100 activities. MindSpark will increase the social interaction of our residents while also improving our residents’ brain health.
